1916-2016: 100 Years of Farming

Preserving the Past ~ Growing our Future

Centennial Logo

Last year, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Massaro Family arriving in Woodbridge. That’s 100 years of continuous farming at our site! There were multiple activities that we hosted to celebrate this momentous year, some of which included a special Dinner on the Farm, pictorial history of the Massaro farm, a special reading list compiled by the Woodbridge Library, looking at other historical farms in Woodbridge, and of course, the wonderful Paul Winter Consort.  Each event was well attended and it was a joy to share this celebration with the community.  We thank everyone for the support over these past years and we hope for 100 more.

In addition to our events, we have officially launched our Centennial Campaign, a fundraising effort to build a farm pavilion and welcome center that will make it safer for CSA customers and farm visitors, and provide a central gathering space for educational programming and events. Funds raised will also serve to ensure the future of the farm by supporting programming and outreach into the broader community. Read a copy of our full Case Statement HERE
