Give & Grow

Day of Service/Team Building

Join Massaro Community Farm in working to provide fresh, healthy food for the Greater New Haven and Naugatuck Valley region. Get outside and get your hands in the soil to help with a variety of farm tasks, and learn how we manage our 57-acre farm and forest property using organic, climate smart and regenerative practices. Give & Grow group participants provide critical work tending to the fields to help us grow nutritious produce for the community, including the fresh produce we donate to our local health, human service and hunger relief agency partners. Give & Grow programs run for two to three hours, led by our farm staff on weekday and Saturday mornings, April to November.

Coming to Massaro for our Give & Grow program benefits your company by:

  • Illustrating your company’s philanthropic values
  • Making a tangible difference in addressing food insecurity, and hunger within our communities
  • Offering a chance to engage in fulfilling work outside the typical office setting, fostering camaraderie, and improving teamwork dynamics including communication, collaboration, trust and mutual respect
  • Taking action on climate change and contributing to local environmental sustainability efforts by participating in hands-on activities at our organic farm
