Since our inception, we have been committed to donating at least 10% of our annual harvest to local health, human service and hunger relief organizations.
This has led to an annual average of approximately 6,500 pounds of produce per year. Providing fresh produce to partner agencies throughout the year fills an important need, and allows us to reach far more people than we might otherwise be able to serve directly.
Partner agencies for our donations have included the Woodbridge Senior Center, Columbus House, Jewish Family Services, Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen, BH Care, Salvation Army-Ansonia, Spooner House, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Loaves & Fishes, Master's Table, Christian Community in Action, Trinity Episcopal Church-Seymour, Kathleen Samela Food Bank, Seymour Oxford Food Bank. FISH of Greater New Haven, WHEAT, Haven’s Harvest, and Connecticut Foodshare (CT Food Bank).
The cost of donating this produce is over $25,000 per year. Your donations help us raise the funds to cover these costs each year, and ensure that we continue to serve as an essential community resource, providing fresh, nutritious food from our farm to Greater New Haven and the Lower Naugatuck Valley region.
