There are a variety of ways to support our mission to Keep Farming, Feed People, and Build Community. As a 501(c)3 organization, you can be assured that your individual donation, membership, or business sponsorship goes directly toward supporting the stewardship of 57 acres of historic farmland and forest at Massaro Community Farm, using organic and climate smart practices, and providing food and farm-based education programs and events to the Greater New Haven and Lower Naugatuck Valley region.

All contributions to Massaro Community Farm, including memberships and gifts-in-kind, qualify as tax deductions. Please consult your tax advisor for more information

Ways to Give

  • Become a sponsor for our annual events: Rock to Rock, Celebrate Spring, Dinner on the Farm (see sponsorship details below)
  • Donate now to where we need it most and help us Keep Farming, Feed People, Build Community
  • Make a gift in honor or in memory of someone
  • Make a gift through your company’s matching gift program
  • Contribute to one of our legacy funds at the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven or the Valley Community Foundation
  • Leave Massaro a charitable bequest
  • Have your required year end distribution funds transferred directly from an IRA to Massaro as a Qualified Charitable Distribution

Get Involved

  • Bring your company or group to the farm
    • Participate in a Give & Grow program for a day of service or team building
    • Host a meeting, retreat or team building event
    • Rent the farm pavilion for a lunch, dinner, birthday, cocktail party
    • Picnic presentation: have lunch and discussion with farm staff; learn about Massaro, sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming and the food system
  • Join our CSA: 10 and 20 week subscription options, June to October
    • Add our eggs from our pasture raised hens
    • Add fruit from a local orchard
    • Add flowers from our farm and from local partner farm
    • Try our 6-week fall CSA in November and December
  • Sponsor or participate in our annual fundraisers and on-farm events

Massaro Farm Membership

We encourage membership of the farm through a variety of levels of financial support. A voting member is someone who makes a financial contribution in the amount of $50 or more to support the organization's activities. It also gives you the fulfillment of being part of this very worthwhile venture. It does not, however, entitle you to shares of produce. See our CSA page for information regarding produce subscriptions.

Each member receives our bi-weekly newsletter, is entitled to attend the annual meeting, and shall have one vote in the election of Directors of the corporation, and on any other matter for which members are entitled to vote under the Connecticut Nonstock Corporation Law. Suggested basic membership is $50 and offers you the satisfaction of maintaining a valuable community asset. However, we accept membership at any level, especially for students and seniors on a fixed income. We thank you and all of our sustaining members for your support!

Sponsorship Opportunities

We offer multiple levels of business sponsorships to meet your organization’s philanthropic goals. Our expected marketing reach is over 6,000 people. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Learning Garden - $1,000

Includes a listing in our bi-weekly newsletter and two (2) tickets to a workshop of your choice.

Nature Trail - $2,500

All Learning Garden benefits, plus two (2) tickets to Dinner on the Farm and hosting a day of service at the farm.

Greenhouse - $5,000

All Nature Trail benefits, plus four (4) tickets to Dinner on the Farm and your name added to the sponsorship plaque inside the barn.

Red Barn - $10,000

All Greenhouse benefits, plus a table of twelve (12) tickets to Dinner on the Farm and use of our pavilion for an event.
